About Me
My work as a representational oil painter is inspired by the story that light reveals in the world around me. As I look at people, place and cultures, I want to capture and share the beauty their stories manifest. For me, painting is putting a piece of life, a moment of beauty, or a season of loss on canvas. In this way, my painting reflects the depth of meaning and love that I hope my life demonstrates.
Since 2016, I have been mentored by Sergei Chernikov. I have also trained with artists at Sentient Academy.
I am a stay-at-home wife and momma who is also an oil painter. I work in my home studio as my life ebbs and flows around homemaking and homeschooling our wonderful son. I love creating joy and beauty in the spaces that touch my life. I want my home to be a place of peace and rest for my family and for those who come into it. “I think,” as Vincent Van Gogh said, “There is nothing more truly artistic than to love people.”
